Queens Award for Voluntary Services

In 2010 we were honoured to receive the Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service.

The Award aims to recognise outstanding work by volunteer groups to benefit their local communities. It was created in 2002 to celebrate the Queen’s Golden Jubilee. The award is the equivalent of an MBE for volunteer groups and honours work that is recognised as bringing clear benefits to the community across a range of areas, such as culture, heritage, well being, and social support.
